Are you a hero? Do the Feds in Ottawa Care?
Help us send hungry kids back to school full of confidence, full of
ambition, and full of food!
As the 2010-2011 school year begins, we're challenging ordinary
people to become heroes to the kids we serve.
Show Kids You Care today by helping provide nutritious food for 6
children, for 14 children, or for 31 children, and you will
instantly become a hero!
Feed 6 kids for one week: $96
Feed 14 kids for one week: $224
Feed 31 kids for one week: $496
Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy food. Food becomes
groceries. Groceries become meals. Meals are served to hungry kids
- and you become a hero. That might be the best thing money can
buy!

"Thank you for being my hero!"
That's all for now!
Thanks again for everything you do (that I can't do!) to help Show
Kids You Care!
Events
Show Kids You Care will be represented by Kristy Taylor or June
8 on Parliament Hill as she joins a coalition of programs that address child
hunger and child poverty to ask the Federal government to fund a national
program to feed hungry kids. Do you know that Canada is the only nation
that is part of the G8 that does not have a national meal program to feed
hungry kids? Shame on us! Our commitment to human rights apparently stops
when it comes to hungry kids in our own country.
Click here to read Kristy's speech. If you have something to say
about this topic, we'd love to hear from you. You can join our conversation
on Facebook, Twitter, or our blog. Or, if you prefer, write to Kristy and
let her know what's on your mind.
